Mihye An (Dr. sc. ETH Zurich) is a media theorist and practitioner. Current work focuses on theorizing “AI Literacy,” with particular attention to the ethical and epistemological issues arising from LLMs (Large Language Models). Drawing from posthumanism, philosophy of language, and digital media theories, she examines how sociotechnical artifacts such as AI chatbots reshape human meaning-making practices.

Past research (2010-2020) focused on the architectonics of digital spaces: investigating how digital environments mediate (or “nature”) communication and knowledge production.
